  • Companies must maintain accurate financial records as per regulations. Audit reports and financial statements are increasingly required for business license renewal. Compliance ensures transparency and accountability.
  • Regulated companies in the UAE, like those under the Central Bank or DFSA, must regularly report financial status to the respective regulator, be it quarterly or yearly.
  • Due to the intricate nature of corporate operations, consistent monthly bookkeeping services are indispensable for accurate financial management.
  • Accounting practices must align with local Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), incorporating necessary local adaptations.
  • Preparation of routine financial reports is crucial to monitor the financial health and performance of the company on a regular basis

Tax registration

Tax registration in the UAE is mandatory for businesses and individuals to comply with tax laws. It ensures efficient tax collection, promotes transparency, and helps avoid penalties. Corporate Tax

In a bid to diversify revenue sources and align with global standards, the UAE introduced significant tax reforms. Effective June 1, 2023, Dubai implemented a federal corporate tax of 9%, with a threshold of AED 375,000, administered by the Ministry of Finance. Despite this change, the UAE maintains one of the world's most competitive corporate tax rates, now applicable uniformly across all Emirates. This is one of our support services.

Who Will Be Subject to Corporate Tax UAE? :

In adherence to the UAE’s tax regulations, all companies operating within the country, including those in free zones, are subject to corporate tax, with specific exemptions detailed below.

As per the UAE Ministry of Finance (MOF), the following entities are liable for Corporate Tax:

  • Corporations and legal entities based in the UAE or conducting their primary management and operations within the UAE.
  • Individuals engaged in business activities within the UAE.
  • Foreign legal entities maintaining a Permanent Establishment in the UAE, as outlined in Section 8 of the Corporate Tax Law.

This tax regime came into effect from June 1, 2023, onwards. The calculation of taxes varies based on the financial reporting year:

  • Entities reporting financial years starting from July 1 will commence tax calculation from July 1, 2023.
  • Entities reporting financial years starting from January 1 will commence tax calculation from January 1, 2024.

With few specific exceptions, all commercial activities conducted within the UAE must register and fulfill corporate tax obligations.

In order to register for Corporate Tax in the UAE, you can access the Federal Tax Authority’s (FTA) website. On this platform, you must fill out the required forms and submit the necessary documents.

The documents that will need to be provided will include the entity’s Emirates ID, trade license, passport, financial records, details of business activities and corporate structure. Once the forms and documents have been submitted, the authorities will review the application and, if approved, provide the company with a tax registration number (TRN), signifying their official registration.
